For all those who want to avoid lactose, there is the lactose-free branded rusk. It is made according to traditional baking methods, but without the use of milk or lactose. It is deliciously crispy and golden yellow, just like Brandt brand rusks. Yet it tastes slightly less sweet, as it is made with 30% less sugar than the classic Brandt rusk. This is done without the addition of sugar substitutes or sweeteners.
Wheat flour, sugar, sunflower oil (3.8%), yeast, glucose syrup, barley malt extract, cooking salt, emulsifier [lecithins (soya)], dextrose, invert sugar syrup, flour treatment agent (ascorbic acid).
